Barry J. Tidwell, is an openly gay African-American Producer, Director, and Award-Winning Writer. He began his career as a dancer at both Anaheim Disneyland and Walt Disney World in Orlando. He later transitioned into producing live events and entertainment in Las Vegas for MGM Resorts International, where he built a strong reputation for producing elaborate shows before starting his own company, Dreamhawk Productions. He's worn many hats as a Creative Producer, and that creativity is also reflected in his writing for books, film, and television.

His first novel 'A Wicked Haven' achieved an Official Selection at the L.A. Neo Noir Novel, Film & Script Festival, and was also crowdfunded as a graphic novel. His pilot screenplay of IMAGINATION PARK is a three-time award winner, with wins at Los Angeles Film Awards, London Independent Film Awards, and the LGBT L.A. Film Festival. And fresh out the gate, LIFE'S A WITCH, HONEY, the screenplay, also takes home a win for Comedy at the Hollywood Blood Horror Festival. Barry's portfolio of queer lead stories not only further advances representation seen on TV, but most of his stories are edgy comedies set in a unique world that attracts a crossover curiosity of other demographics-- the most effective way to achieve true visibility of the LGBTQ+ community
